Another list of things I find interesting…
1.Ubuntu -Yeah, here’s one that all the computer geeks know. Ubuntu is a popular Linux distribution, that’s been around for years. So why am I putting on this list, then? Because my little sister loves her computer running Ubuntu. (Seriously, she loves playing Mahjong.) That, and it’s open source. That never really hurt,did it?
2.Pidgin-Speaking of Ubuntu, I can’t forget Pidgin. This little messaging client that comes with Ubuntu(actually runs on Windows and Mac,too)will let you talk to damn near anyone on almost any messaging service, from AIM to Hotmail, to IRC. This one’s been around for a while too, but one of my friends(a recent convert to Ubuntu, incidentally) reminded me about it, so I figured I’d put it up on here.
3.The Carps- The Carps are this indie 2 piece band from Scarborough, a neighborhood they call a “pretend hood” in Toronto,Canada. If I were to describe the sound, it’d be like, punk meets soul.
